Long time, no post! Well here it is:
Having a healthy body and leading a healthy life is something that draws out true beauty. I just started an eating and exercise plan today that I plan on doing for 2-4 weeks and I figured if I kept track of my progress I would be less likely to cheat and could keep my motivation.
Here is my meal plan
Here is my exercise plan
I am hoping to post updates, tips, progress, etc

Sock Bun Curls
If you don't follow any of my pinboards let me just tell you....I've become OBSESSED with pinterest, very recenetly and I've fallen very hard. One of the beauty tips I found is the sock bun curl trick. I can be no means take credit for this magnificent idea, I can only see how it works for me. Today is my first attempt. All the blogs say do it at night and let your hair dry overnight. Well, I usually go to the gym in the morning so I shower in the morning therefore I'm trying this trick during the day.
Here is the blog where I got this idea, she has videos and written instructions though once you do it it's SUPER easy.
What you will need:
Sock (usually a trouser sock works the best, I got one to match the color of my hair)
Scissors
Hair tie
Water/Spritz bottle - if you're doing it with dry hair
Cut the toe of the sock off, roll the sock...put your hair up in a high pony (or low, see which way works best for you but I was advised to go high), put hair through sock, pull up, roll hair down into a bun with sock.
Let hair dry and if this works for you your hair will look something like this....

Sephora Gel Liner
I am happy to report that this purchase has exceeded my expectations and I'm only two days into using it.
I ventured into Sephora expecting to pay an arm and a leg for a good make-up product. There are certain things in life you should spend money on and I have come to the conclusion that for me, make-up is one of those things. Now that I have experienced both drug store and higher-end products I can tell the difference after one hour of wear and have noticed the higher-end make-up products actually last much longer over a period of time than their inexpensive counterparts, in the end making the costs balance, so why not splurge on the better product?
After working in retail, when I shop and am looking for something specific or have questions about products I love working with the sales associates and luckily, the day I went into the Sephora at Eastview Mall a young man named Ben was a godsend. I knew I was looking for a gel liner but I wanted to know if that would be the best product for the needs I was looking to satisfy. I wanted an eyeliner that was gentle like the wet eyeshadow I had been using the past 2-3years but that would essentially stay on longer. He said, you got it, that's your best option. I asked him about the application process and he was very insightful, gave me some new methods to try that are good for my eye shape and brought me over to the brushes so I could pick the one I liked best. I am sure it crossed his mind at some-point to up sell me (however they do not receive commission) but his suggestion of brush cleaner is very practical. This is one beauty regime that I always overlook but clean brushes are a MUST for any healthy beauty artisan. I'd be lying if I said I regularly clean my brushes, I haven't cleaned them since I got them, but no one ever suggested brush cleaner before so I'm turning over a new leaf, or rather a new bristle! I'll let you know how that goes...(Not to mention he put together a sample of "on-the-go/travel" make-up remover to try; so impressed, I'm definitely going back to him!)
Back to the liner...to my wallet's excitement this Sephora brand gel liner was only $10....and let me tell you, after using it for two days not only do I love it but I know it's going to last at least a year or two (just like my Two-Faced Natural Eye pallet; I have had that thing since October of 2009 and it's still going strong with the exception of the Sexpresso shadow I have been using as liner). Between the brush and the gel liner it's so gentle and smooth, all I need are a couple strokes on my top and bottom lash lines and I'm good to go until I take my make-up off at night. For any application, removal, or cleansing around the eye area it is imperative to be gentle. I learned from my favorite Mary Kay Rep (Leah Jill Browning) that the skin around your eyes is the most thin and delicate and is the first to age, so it's important to take good care of your eye area at a very young age!

Summary:
- Gel liner is the smoothest & gentlest of eyeliners to apply
- Waterproof option is perfect to last all day but removes easily when your day is done
- Upfront cost of the liner and brush (and brush cleaner) will actually save you money in the long run between lasting longer than an inexpensive counterpart and aiding in the prevention of aging
- Sephora - don't be intimidated and let the associates help you explore the store!
